The closed orbit problem is a classical one in Hamitonian system and differential geometry. And the index theory has played an important role in this field. In this talk, I will give a short survey about this problem, and focus on explaining how the Maslov-type index theory has been applied to get the multiplicity of closed orbits.

四、主讲人简介

段华贵，教授、博导，南开大学数学科学学院副院长，“南开大学百名青年学科带头人培养计划”入选者。研究领域为动力系统与非线性分析，主要从事哈密顿系统中的闭轨道与微分几何中的闭测地线的研究，相关成果发表在JDG，Adv. Math.，JFA，JDE，Calc. Var. PDEs等国际数学期刊。
