三、摘要

I will discuss some recent progress on the asymptotic behaviors of principal eigenvalues for elliptic and time-periodic parabolic operators. We will focus on the dependence of principal eigenvalues on frequency, drift and diffusion rates. Applications to infectious disease models will be presented.

四、主讲人介绍

楼元，1984-1991年就读于北京大学数学系，1991-1995年就读于明尼苏达大学数学系。曾在MSRI（1995-96年）和芝加哥大学（1996-98年）做博士后，自1998年任教于俄亥俄州立大学数学系，2021年4月起任上海交通大学访问教授，曾任美国数学生物研究所副所长（2009-2013）。研究兴趣是反应扩散方程理论以及在生物学中的应用，发表学术论文130余篇，目前担任Journal of Differential Equations等期刊编委。
