三、摘要：

Given a morphism from a smooth projective variety X to an abelian variety, it is known that the higher direct image of the canonical bundle of X has quite strong positive properties. Chen-Jiang decomposition is a canonical decomposition of these sheaves, which implies that these sheaves are indeed semi-ample. We will introduce Chen-Jiang decomposition and show some geometric applications, including classifications of special irregular varieties and birational geometry of irregular varieties.

四、主讲人简介：

江智，2010年博士毕业于巴黎七大，是复旦大学/谷超豪研究所双聘教授，博导，国家高层次青年人才项目入选者。主要从事代数几何的理论研究，特别是在Abel簇、Hodge理论、双有理几何的研究中取得了突出成果，论文发表在J. Reine Angew. Math., Ann. Sci. École Norm. Sup., Compositio Math., Advances in Mathematics, Geometry and Topology, Trans AMS等杂志。
