　　Aneta Stefanovska is Professor of Biomedical Physics in the Physics Department at Lancaster University, UK. She has extensive experience in studying the physics of living systems combining measurements, time-series analyses, and modelling. She is investigating complex interactions, from cellular level to the dynamics of blood distribution and the interactions between cardiovascular oscillatory processes and brain waves. More recently, with colleagues, she proposed a new theory of chronotaxic systems (from chronos – time and taxis - order) suitable for studies of thermodynamically open systems and living systems in particular.
